In addition to his role with Hometown Life Insurance, Brett is also the CFO and Portfolio Manager of Liberty International Investment Management, an Investment Counsellor firm located in Toronto.

Prior to starting Liberty, Brett spent four years at a large Toronto based Pension Plan. There he spent time in the Mergers & Acquisitions Tax group and the Strategic Investments group. Prior to that Brett was a staff accountant at a large multinational accounting firm.

Brett holds a CPA, CA designation, CFA designation, an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University (formerly University of Western Ontario) and an HBMSc in Physiology and Cell Biology from Western University.

When Brett is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, being active, and escaping to his cottage for some time out of the city to enjoy the quiet time in the beautiful Ontario wilderness. Brett lives in Oakville, but has many family ties to the Niagara region as well, with many fond memories growing up and visiting the area.
